With a simple blend of oil, sugar and lavender flowers, this homemade lavender natural body scrub is the perfect choice for last minute gifts.
This body scrub can be an homemade and inexpensive present or a perfect gift for yourself, for a spa night at home!
The sugar and oil are great for hydrating and exfoliating the skin. While the lavender adds a calming scent and a floral fragrance that makes this present extra pretty.
I used some culinary lavender that I bought at the Cotswold Lavender. If you’re not lucky enough to have lavender growing in your backyard, you can Order It Online or check your natural/health grocery store. Just make sure you are using lavender that hasn’t been doused in chemicals or pesticides.
I would love to take a hot bath, but I usually use this scrab while having a shower and I love its scent and how my skin smells nice.
There isn’t really a recipe, as it’s mostly up to your personal preferences. All you need is sugar, coconut oil, lavender oil, and lavender flowers. I used about two cups of sugar, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, a tablespoon of lavender oil, and flowers at your taste. You can add brown sugar for a stronger exfoliation or less sugar for a softer mix.
You can add some basil if you don’t have lavender flowers or orange oil to help wake you up in the shower in the morning…whatever you like!
It’s also a really delicious DIY gift! You have to fill a jar
with your homemade sugar scrub, add ribbon and a tag.
That’s it, you have an inexpensive homemade gift that your family and friends are sure to love.
And once the gifts are done you need something to write the name on.
This year I decided to make them and share them with you!
You can download the Christmas tag here.
Let me know if you liked the tags and especially if you have used them! If you would like to show me the result, you can tag me on Instagram with #XMAsMumwhatelse and I will be happy to retweet!
You can also Pin it for later!
