I find myself going from a young happy hour addicted, care-free wine lover, ball of fun always around, into sitting on a sofa on Saturday, with a blanket covering over my legs whilst watching a animal documentary trying to keep my eyes opened. So welcome mama, they didn’t tell you that becoming parents will be like that. Not only sleepless nights, nappies mountains, tiredness, incessant crying, multitasking of course, goodbye bags and welcome backpack, playgroups obsessed, meal planning advisor, cookies producer. It will be age yourself noticeably, visibly and dramatically!
But I am thankful for that. Even for my wrinkles… My life is full and I am grateful for my family. Every day is more stressful than fun but this two little kiddos make me the happiest mum in the world.
This is the first birthday far from home, from parents and friends. I wish I could be on a hot-hair balloon today and reach all my dear ones for a quick cuddle. So thanks What’s up and Facebook and Skype to make this day easier for me… but above all, thanks to Filippo, my partner and my best friend for loving me and for making me stronger every day.
Happy birthday to me!
